..originally commissioned as an iconic element for the Blue Fin building, beside Tate Modern. Rather than humans painting themselves bronze and being a statue, this statue wants to be human. It can move. It waves, strikes poses, and generally doesnt like being ignored.
Our initial proposal suggested that over the life of our statue, we would continue to reinvent it. Not just through movement, but also to “vandalise” it, in the manor of all the best loved statues.
And so it begins! Halloween marked the first Take-Over, designed to attract attention to itself, and the Blue Fin Building behind it.
The object in his hand can be removed – clothes and headgear added, and the signage can be switched out..
