Drawing on the success of the first Marie Curie garden of light, greyworld designed, created, installed and derigged a second, more ambitious project.
In spite of the UK’s freezing weather, we opened Marie Curie’s spring fundraising campaign in London, with 4,000 light-up daffodils filling Paternoster Square near St Paul’s cathedral each representing the number of people helped in March this year.
Each flowerbed also featured a daffodil from a famous personality, created by greyworld. Celebrities included Stephen Fry, Louise Redknapp, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Alicia Dixon amongst others.
The annual spring campaign is part of the Great Daffodil Appeal, an annual call for people to donate to the terminal illness charity.
